Homeschooler Eats Junk Food for the First Time in His Life
18-year old homeschooler Jonathan Friesen, after an entire lifetime of eating healthy, has eaten junk food.
As he was inside the local gas station paying for gas, Jonathan’s eyes laid hold of the forbidden fruit, as it were – specifically in the form of a temptingly appetizing O-HENRY bar. Suddenly, he was faced with an inner battle. The chocolate bar looked so tempting – strangely much more so than all the Trim Healthy Mama delicacies he had consumed in his life. However, the haunting words of Genesis 2:17 (“in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die”) came to his mind. However, in a moment of sheer folly, he said to himself "I shall surely not die" and bought the chocolate bar.
Hastening back to his car, he concealed the chocolate bar in the passenger glove compartment, lest by any chance any should catch wind of what he was doing, and he drove home. Somehow, the abominable item made it safely into his bedroom, where he unwrapped it and beheld it for a few seconds. Trembling, he raised the chocolate bar to his mouth and took a bite.
Immediately, his taste buds were opened, and he knew good from evil. The chocolate bar tasted so good – the sweetness was so real and authentic. Never again would those cheap alternatives such as stevia and xylitol be good enough for him.
At publishing time, Jonathan was having a hard time explaining the wrapper he left on his bed.
